1. Introduction
This Student Code of Conduct explains the behaviour expected from every student who uses the NHE Tutor App, the New High Education website, and any related learning service.
New High Education is committed to creating a safe, respectful, disciplined, and supportive digital learning environment for students in Ghana and beyond. Every student is expected to use the platform responsibly, supporting learning, personal growth, academic honesty, and respect for others.
By using the NHE Tutor App, students agree to follow this Code of Conduct.
2. Purpose of This Code
The purpose of this Student Code of Conduct is to:
- Promote respectful behaviour among students
- Encourage responsible use of the NHE Tutor App
- Protect students, parents, teachers, and administrators
- Prevent bullying, abuse, cheating, impersonation, and misuse
- Support safe and effective learning
- Guide students on proper use of the AI Tutor
- Help New High Education maintain a trusted learning platform
3. Who This Code Applies To
This Code of Conduct applies to all students who:
- Register for the NHE Tutor App
- Use a student account
- Access the AI Tutor
- Submit questions or learning materials
- Communicate with New High Education
- Use any student feature on the platform
This Code applies whether the student is using the platform at home, at school, at a learning centre, or elsewhere.
4. General Student Responsibilities
Every student must:
- Use the NHE Tutor App for learning and educational support
- Provide accurate registration information
- Keep their account details private
- Respect teachers, parents, admins, and other users
- Ask genuine educational questions
- Follow the instructions given by authorised New High Education staff
- Use the AI Tutor honestly and responsibly
- Report anything harmful, suspicious, or inappropriate
- Protect their own privacy and the privacy of others
- Follow all New High Education policies
Students are expected to behave online with the same level of discipline, respect, and responsibility expected in a good school environment.
5. Respectful Behaviour
Students must treat all users with respect and dignity.
Students must not:
- Insult, mock, shame, or embarrass others
- Use abusive, rude, offensive, or threatening language
- Harass, bully, or intimidate anyone
- Make discriminatory comments about another person’s background, gender, religion, ethnicity, disability, school, family, or personal situation
- Spread rumours or false information
- Deliberately provoke arguments or disturb others
Respectful communication helps create a safe and positive learning environment for everyone.
6. Proper Use of the NHE Tutor App
Students must use the NHE Tutor App only for lawful, safe, and educational purposes.
Students may use the platform to:
- Ask subject-related questions
- Receive explanations from the AI Tutor
- Revise topics
- Practise problem-solving
- Improve reading, writing, reasoning, and understanding
- Prepare for classwork, homework, tests, and examinations
- Learn at their own pace
- Receive support in approved learning areas
Students must not use the platform for activities that are harmful, dishonest, illegal, offensive, or unrelated to learning.
7. Proper Use of the AI Tutor
The AI Tutor is provided to support learning. It is not a replacement for teachers, parents, textbooks, school lessons, or official examination guidance.
Students should use the AI Tutor to:
- Understand difficult topics
- Ask for step-by-step explanations
- Practise questions
- Review subject concepts
- Clarify confusing ideas
- Improve study habits
- Learn how to approach academic problems
Students should not blindly copy answers. They should read, understand, practise, and ask follow-up questions where necessary.
8. AI Tutor Misuse
Students must not use the AI Tutor to:
- Cheat in homework, classwork, tests, or examinations
- Generate answers for submission without understanding
- Create harmful, abusive, sexual, violent, hateful, or illegal content
- Write threats, insults, bullying messages, or offensive content
- Produce fake information about another person
- Create content that breaks school rules
- Ask for instructions on fraud, hacking, violence, or illegal activity
- Share private personal information unnecessarily
- Pretend that AI-generated work is fully their own, where this is not allowed
Misuse of the AI Tutor may lead to warnings, restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal of access.
9. Academic Honesty
New High Education expects all students to be honest in their learning.
Students must:
- Do their own work
- Use the AI Tutor as a guide, not as a cheating tool
- Avoid copying answers without understanding
- Follow the rules of their school, teacher, and examination body
- Admit when they need help
- Use AI explanations to improve their own knowledge and skills
Academic dishonesty includes:
- Submitting AI-generated work as personal work when not allowed
- Using the platform to complete exams dishonestly
- Sharing test answers
- Pretending to understand work copied from the AI Tutor
- Helping another student cheat
Students should remember that the real purpose of learning is understanding, not simply getting answers.
10. Account Security
Students are responsible for protecting their accounts.
Students must:
- Keep passwords private
- Keep student IDs safe
- Log out after using shared or public devices
- Report suspicious account activity immediately
- Use only their own approved account
Students must not:
- Share login details with friends or classmates
- Use another student’s account
- Allow someone else to use their account
- Create fake accounts
- Try to access the teacher, parent, admin, or Super Admin areas
- Attempt to bypass security features
New High Education may suspend or reset accounts where suspicious activity is detected.
11. Personal Information and Privacy
Students must protect their own personal information and respect others' privacy.
Students should not share unnecessary personal information, such as:
- Home address
- Private family information
- Passwords
- Payment details
- Private photos
- Sensitive personal issues
- Another person’s phone number or email address
- Any information that could put themselves or others at risk
Students must not collect, share, expose, or misuse another person’s private information.
12. Online Safety
Students must use the platform safely and responsibly.
Students should:
- Tell a parent, guardian, teacher, or New High Education if they see anything worrying
- Avoid clicking suspicious links
- Avoid downloading unknown files
- Avoid communicating with strangers outside approved learning channels
- Report bullying, threats, abuse, or inappropriate content
- Use safe devices and secure internet connections where possible
Students must never arrange to meet strangers through the platform.
13. Bullying, Harassment, and Abuse
New High Education does not tolerate bullying, harassment, threats, or abuse.
Bullying may include:
- Sending insulting messages
- Mocking another student
- Spreading rumours
- Repeated teasing
- Threatening someone
- Sharing embarrassing information
- Excluding or targeting someone unfairly
- Using screenshots or private messages to shame another person
Any student who bullies, threatens, or harasses others may face account restriction, suspension, parent notification, or further action.
14. Prohibited Content
Students must not submit, upload, request, generate, or share content that includes:
- Insults or abusive language
- Threats or violence
- Sexual content
- Hate speech
- Bullying or harassment
- Fraud or scams
- Hacking instructions
- Illegal activity
- Dangerous advice
- Private information of others
- False claims about another person
- Content that encourages self-harm or harm to others
- Malware, viruses, or harmful files
- Copyrighted material used without permission
New High Education may remove harmful content and take action against the student account involved.
15. Respect for Teachers, Parents, and Admins
Students must respect authorised teachers, parents, guardians, admins, and New High Education staff.
Students must not:
- Speak rudely to staff or teachers
- Refuse reasonable instructions
- Send abusive or repeated unnecessary messages
- Make false complaints
- Try to manipulate or deceive admins
- Disrespecting parents or guardians using the platform
- Attempt to pressure staff into breaking rules
Students may ask questions and raise concerns, but they must do so respectfully.
16. Responsible Communication
All communication through the NHE Tutor App, website, WhatsApp, email, or support channels must be respectful and relevant.
Students should:
- Use polite language
- Explain problems clearly
- Avoid unnecessary repeated messages
- Be honest when requesting support
- Avoid sending inappropriate images, links, or files
New High Education may restrict communication access where a student misuses support channels.
17. Use of Devices and Internet
Students are responsible for using safe and appropriate devices when accessing the NHE Tutor App.
Students should:
- Use updated browsers or app versions
- Avoid unsafe websites while studying
- Keep devices protected where possible
- Avoid using someone else’s device without permission
- Log out after use on shared devices
- Avoid damaging, hacking, or interfering with the platform
New High Education is not responsible for problems caused by unsafe devices, poor internet connection, or misuse of personal devices.
18. Attendance and Learning Participation
Students are encouraged to use the NHE Tutor App regularly and seriously.
Good participation includes:
- Logging in consistently
- Asking meaningful learning questions
- Reviewing explanations carefully
- Practising topics
- Following the learning guidance
- Completing assigned activities where applicable
- Seeking help when confused
New High Education may send reminders or contact parents/guardians where a student’s account is inactive for a long period, depending on the service arrangement.
19. Respect for Platform Content
All learning materials, AI tutor responses, notes, designs, software, graphics, logos, and platform features belong to New High Education or its authorised partners unless otherwise stated.
Students must not:
- Copy platform content for commercial use
- Sell or distribute NHE learning materials
- Reproduce large parts of the platform without permission
- Remove branding or ownership notices
- Use NHE materials to create competing services
Students may use learning content for personal study and educational purposes.
20. Reporting Problems
Students should report:
- Bullying
- Threats
- Abuse
- Suspicious account activity
- Inappropriate AI responses
- Technical problems
- Wrong account information
- Unsafe behaviour
- Privacy concerns
- Any content that makes them uncomfortable

Students should include clear details, screenshots where appropriate, and their student ID if available.
21. Investigation of Misconduct
Where a student is suspected of breaking this Code of Conduct, New High Education may review the matter.
This may include:
- Reviewing account activity
- Checking submitted content or messages
- Contacting the student
- Contacting a parent or guardian
- Contacting a teacher or admin where appropriate
- Temporarily restricting access during review
New High Education will aim to handle matters fairly and with care, especially where children or young people are involved.
22. Consequences of Breaking This Code
If a student violates this Code of Conduct, New High Education may take one or more of the following actions:
- Give advice or guidance
- Issue a warning
- Remove inappropriate content
- Restrict certain features
- Reset account access
- Temporarily suspend the account
- Notify a parent or guardian
- Notify a school or authorised teacher where appropriate
- Permanently terminate access
- Report serious unlawful conduct to the relevant authority
The action taken will depend on the seriousness of the behaviour, the student’s age, the risk involved, and whether the behaviour is repeated.
23. Appeals and Review
A student, parent, or guardian may request a review if they believe an account restriction, suspension, or disciplinary action was unfair.

- Any supporting information
New High Education will review the request and respond as fairly as possible.

New High Education is committed to helping students learn in a safe, respectful, and supportive digital environment.
Every student is expected to:
- Learn honestly
- Communicate respectfully
- Protect their account
- Use the AI Tutor responsibly
- Respect the privacy of others
- Report harmful behaviour
- Follow this Code of Conduct
By using the NHE Tutor App, students agree to follow this Student Code of Conduct.
